Today something really strange happened to me !
i was parked,i was buying some drinks and
i came back and i opened the car from outside moving the
power locks,then ....the horn started to BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP... i had to disconnect the battery! then i connected it again and the alarm was gone.-
why ? i've never heard anything like that ...
Factory alarm ?????????'

If you reached through the window and opened a locked door it will do that. have to put the key into the door lock and turn it to silence the alarm

Yes i did that ...
i had the top off,reached thru the window and opened the powerlocks
is that an alarm ? My vette has no alarm.its a 87

Yes, that sounds like the factory alarm.
As Livin the Dream said, you can't reach in and unlock or open a door like that.

If you lock your door, you must use the key to unlock the door and not set off the alarm.

Your Vette does have an alarm. You just set it off and heard it.

Yes - factory alarm. You can also turn it off by using the door key and turning it to the right and then left.

Happened to be as well.

These guys are right. By reaching in and unlocking from the inside, then opening with the outside door handle, the car "thinks" the window was broken out. This is your factory alarm by design. Turn the door key to turn stop the horns.

I hadn't owned my '86 for all forty minutes when a friend of ours set off the alarm as we were looking under the hood. I searched the owners manual furiously as my other friend unplugged the horns.

Mr. "roving fingers" denied any wrong-doing....
