I had to get A new tire for the Corvette because the old tire threw the tread and running on cords just didn't seem safe. mAfter all the horror stories or price gouging I'd hear going on for anyone that drives up in a Vette I called ahead and got a quote. I sat in the lounge and watched as they jacked up the car to take the tire off and put the new one on, no big deal. They get done drive the car up front and bring in the bill with the "Mechanics" recommendations. The mannager tells me that they recommend I have the radiator flushed, change the brake fluid and all the brakes and rotors cause there shot and get a four wheel alignment. I asked the manager if he was serious and he said ya why? I proceded to tell him that I had just changed all the brakes, flushed and filled the radiator after I changed out the distributer. I also asked how the heck his mechanic checked the radiator when he didn't even open the hood on the car. I payed the bill for the tire and left. I'll get the other Tire in Virginia when I'm at school next week but I just couldn't belive the

I hate the fact the most repair shops try to scare the public into buying crap they dont need. They have you there and just figure your stupid so you will accept there line of , they should be ashamed of what they do!
