Default Need some advice

Can someone tell me the answer to the following:
If i have a shop remove the resonator but leave the stock mufflers and stock cats, what type of result will i get?

Second option: remove the stock muffler and leave everything else in place, what type of sound will i get?

What i am looking for is not a loud affect but some growl different than the stock setup i have now.

95 auto LT1.
thanks

Probably sound pretty good. Put in a X pipe or H pipe in place of the resonator. Just so happens I have an X pipe that will replace it. If interested in it PM me.

Second option: Depends on the mufflers you use. But the 1500 rpm resonance or drone is almost a sure bet.

Have you considered muffler eliminators? Using these and keeping the stock resonator sounds pretty good. Might be a little louder than you want though. Several on here run this set up. A search might turn up some videos or sound clips.

Of course there are always Corsa's.........I love mine!

Thnks for the advise, do you have that setup, X pipe and stock mufflers?
I wonder if the straight pipes in place of the resonator will also sound nice?

Not now. I did have the X pipe and Magnaflows. I couldn't stand the resonance so I ponied up for the Corsa's. Here's a link to what muffler eliminators sound like. This is Aminnich's car. I'm not sure if he left the resonator in or not. Sounds pretty good to me and it's fairly inexpensive to do to do. Hope this helps you some.

The stock cats and resonator are still there. I just eliminated the mufflers and went with straight pipes and Magnaflow tips.

I also removed the mufflers, left everything else in place. It has a little more resonance than I'd like in the car, but sounds just right outside.

Default exhaust options

I have listen to that clip alot and it sounds nice.
What does it sound like inside since you eliminated the mufflers?

Is there anyone out there who did the removal of the resonator and kept everything else stock?
i am looking for any sound clips of this setup before i have it done.

Just do it! It's inexpensive and make sure you get your resonator when they remove it. You can always put it back on down the road.
