i need new tires. i have an 87 with everything original. i still have the original tires, but need new ones. since i can't get the original tires (at least i can't find them) what tire should i get? also i'm going to keep the original tires for NCRS and Bloomington, so i'm thinking it might be easier to keep them on the stock rims and swap them out if i go to one of those events. with that in mind, i need new wheels also. when looking at Mid-America, they didn't have anything for an 87, just 88 and up. any suggestions? anyone have newer wheels (like c5, z06, or c6) wheels on their c4? how do they look?

ok....since no one had any other suggestions, can anyone tell me if wheels from an 88-94 fit on an 87??

You will need adapters for anything that fits 88 and up for your 87. I am getting ready to put on C6 Z06 wheels on my 84 that I got thru customwheelmarkets on that auction site with the correct offset. Might check there. Just a suggestion.

thanks. what should i look for when ordering? what type of adapter should i get? i've never done this before, so i'm not really sure what to get. would calling someone like mid-america help?

also, does anyone know where i could get stock 87 wheels?

This is my 87 w/C6 Z06 wheels. Came from Corvette Central I believe designed for C4's. No adaptor needed. I stiil have the originals off the car, which I might sell, but shipping would be a ton I'd imagine.
If link doesn't work, goto Corvette Central, C4, Wheels and look for Z06, about $1200. My picture on the left is mine w/Z06 wheels.

I didn't want to use adapters, that's why I wanted to get the correct offset. Anybody like mid-america, corvette central, or ecklers can possibly help you out. You might also check out http://www.lakeshorewheelandtire.com/ just scroll down until you see corvette specials and click on that and that will show you a bunch of wheels, just click on the ones that you like and they will have info on the years it will fit. Hope this helps you out..
