I'm switching my insurance from State Farm to American Collectors. Under the State Farm policy the only stipulation is 2,500 miles / year. The American Collectors is also 2,500 miles / year but only to shows. Does anyone have any horror story trying to collect on a claim incurred while not driving to a show. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Boy, I don't know. I never liked the limited milage they put on you. I opted to purchase and extended warranty. There are alot of those type companies out there, you just have to shop around.
I tell you I throughly researched them all and ended up sticking with State Farm. Leland West had the best deal. No milage stipulations, no 'show only' stipulations, agreed value and cheap! Only problem - absolutely no mods permitted  That ruled out my supercharger!
Try Classic Auto 1.800.397.0765, They just took care of me for $231 a year, my previous company wanted over $800. You have to keep it in the garage and they have different plans up to 5k miles a year. You are allowed to use it for pleasure driving. Good Luck, Guy
I'm with Madison Mutual and my Vette is insured as a pleasure vehicle. That limits me to 9000 miles a year. It's only a bit over $200 every six months.
All my cars are with State Farm. The vette is just insured as a regular driver. 100,000/300,000 with 1,000 deductable. I wont get a policy that tells me when or how much to drive. I have 3 cars and expect to do 50-60K between them. My cost on the vette is about $450 per year, just paid it this morning.
I have mine with Grundy Collector insurance covers 50K for my 96 GS convertible with no deductible $600.00 per year unlimited miles and thats in Jersey !!
I'm 40 years old, in California, clean record, unlimited miles, agree value of $55,000 on my ZR-1 NOT LOW BLUE BOOK VALUE. It only cost me $615.00 a year.
