The mysterious Case of the Wobbling Rear View Mirror....
Please help me solve this mysterious wobbling, shaking rear view mirror case! 1992 Vette coupe. My rear view mirror shakes like crazy whenever I hit the slightest bump in the road. Is there a way to tighten these bad boys up a little??? I gave the token glance at it hoping to see a set-screw or something but nada. Could it be that all the cars and landscape behind me are shaking and my mirror isn't??????? Many thanks once again to the experts out there! Oh, and while I'm writing, I went ahead and bought a set of KYB rear shocks for my 92. Thinking of putting them on myself. Any tricks or ? I need to know about here? Ride height issues?? Or is this a POC(thats, piece of cake folks)????

with both of the above.
Tightening the small screw you can see behind the mirror glass when you adjust the mirror all the way out was loose on my '88.

off his rear view mirror and says "Whatsa behinda me is nota important"
or something like that(Cannon Ball Run????)

When I replaced my original shocks (KYB) on my 95 the height seemed to be higher which to me should not make sense as I did not change the springs. The stock shocks that I replaced appeared lower but I did not take a measurement. The shocks are pretty decent as I use the car on weekends and do not race.

Rear shocks are a breeze. Jack up, remove wheel, remove one nut on the bottom and two bolts on the top, swap the top plate onto the new shocks, tighten the shaft nut to squish the rubbers and reinstall. Did mine in an hour. Shocks don't change ride height, only spring adjustment or modification can do that.
