Default Zaino Question

I want to buy Zaino for my Vette (and the Exployer and the wife's Benz and the....).

What does everyone recommend I buy from start to finish? Where is the best place to purchase this? I live in the Harrisburg, PA area if anyone knows of any dealers.

Is http://www.zainobros.com/ the best place?

Many Thanks!

To start fresh you will need Z1, Z2, Z5, Z6, Z7, and Z18 clay bar. Don't skimp on the towels eirther.

I think the price is the same wether you get it from Sal or a local dealer, you just won't have to pay shipping if you get it locally. :seeya

Then go to http://www.fieldcrest.com/index.jsp and get some 100% cotton "American" made towels. Wash them first in hot water no soap and dry.

Well with the advent of ZFX you don't need the Z1 now. If you clay your car and wash it with Dawn dishwashing liquid you need Z2 & ZFX to polish the car. Z6 to detail the car :yesnod: ( now you can use Z6 after you polish your car the first time and for when you want to touch up your car between polishing, its the detail spray)

Now for the extras
Z-7 Car Wash
Z-10 Leather Treatment
Z-16 Tire Gloss
Z-12 Window Polish

Don't forget the Cotton towels for polishing and drying. :yesnod:

Why use Dawn dishwashing soap? I hear this will strip off all the wax that is already on the car or is this the point? What is claying?

Dawn is to get all the old wax off of the car. Wax has a tendancy to turn yellow in the heat.

Claying is using a Clar bar with lubricant to get all the rough spots and impurities out of the paint. If you rub your hand across your clean car you will feel rough spots on the surface, well after you rub a clay bar with a lubricant you will find that those rough spots will be gone :yesnod:

My .02 on ZFX

This stuff is a waste. You mix it in a amount at a time. Whatever you don't use you throw away. You get time knocked off, but it's not like Z1 takes forever anyways. The only people that I think need the ZFX are they guys doing shows that need the instant dry the product gives. I don't have a problem doing my car in the garage and let it sit for a day and do 5 or 6 coats of zaino.
