That's pretty close to the published GM weight, so for the sake of comparisons to other years I'll leave that up there.

Aardwolf: Thanks for the new weights, I'll get those up. Do you know if it's a blue or black tag ZF6? Not sure if it would matter, just curious.

How much does the rear hatch glass weigh? I was going to get a lexan one from Melrose to lighten it up some. Nice job on all the weights info it takes time to do all of it. Pipe

digital dash 4 lbs

Another update:

Stock '88 hood - 80 lbs (bare, no headlights, under hood lights, etc)

It looks like I may get 20 lbs removed from cutting away the under hood structure. I removed the under hood lights long ago so the remaining structure just looked odd. I think this is the last major weight I can remove without buying parts (new hood, lexan glass, etc).

Anybody know any details on the difference in weight between the 84 interior and the 96? All in? Components?

what about the 84 bumpers/covers vs. the 96?

Thanks for any info.

Took the fan off today, for better high speed cooling.

1988 single fan - 6 lbs (main puller fan)

D36 with bat wing and lube was 70 pounds all together.
