Debris
yep, just did my own, except I removed the radiator, and condensor both!
I bought the car in Augest for my wife (128K miles) she complained that the car was running hot while she drove it home, so I let it idle in the drive way while both fans were on high, the anolog gauge (didn't know about the digital) hit just below the hash mark .
A quick inspection reveled alot of grass, twigs, broken plastic from car accadents, you name it! in front of the radiator. Condensor looked fine (at this time)
I was unable to easily remove the upper air box without "forcing" A/C condensor tubing, so I removed the condensor tubing, and condensor. I held the condensor above my head to see if I could see Day-lite, to my surprise it was heavily blocked with small granules of road dabris.
I had the radiator cleaned and recapped at a local radiator shop, the condensor I cleaned with simple green, and an air nozzle. I Also replaced Opti, Plugs, wires, Water pump, Thermostat, hoses's, and front end air spoiler.
Fired up the car last week for the first time...after cooling system bleeding, and A/C recharge these were my results...
- Outside air temp 90f A/C on (60f) 197-205f Digital Gauge, High fans W/condensor pressure's in excess of 250psi
- Outside air temp 90f A/C off 215-228f Digital gauge, low fans only (cycling)
- Outside air temp 70f A/C on (auto 72f) 195-197 Digital Gauge, low fans (constant)
- Outside air temp 70f A/C off (no data) A/C stuck in auto

Car runs really good..strong & cooler
Sorry about the lengthy post guys, but I'm pretty exited about the results..

I took off the top of the radiator support/cover, stuck a vacuum cleaner hose down and sucked out all the leaves and other crap. I put plastic bag over the fan then took Simple Green and sprayed everything down. Drank a beer. Came back and then blasted the rest of the dirt/grime with the garden hose. After that, the radiator was a champ cooling down the car.
CoolVette86, had I taken your advise...I would have spent less money on Beer & Bandades
