Default problem with interior light

Hello, I'm new to a 84 vette. I need help. The interior light will come on in the car for about 15 seconds when the car is not running. Noticed it one night after the vette was turned off for about 4 hours.

Check you door switches and rear hatch switch. Start by opening one at a time until you find the suspect switch.

Your post doesn't make sense to me. If the interior light only comes on for 15 seconds and goes out...what's the problem? It's normal for the interior light to stay on for a few seconds after closing the door.

I think the real issue is in his last sentence. I believe his interior light was remaining on after running the car 4 hrs before.

Sorry for the mistake. interior light comes on and off about every 30 minutes for about 15 seconds when I am not in the car. I will try to look at the connections on the door and rear. Thanks
