Default i hate it as much as you do, but...another wheel/tire question

Ok. sorry for another one, but will 38mm offset wheels fit on the front of an 87? i know the stock ones have 32mm offset but everyone selling 17" repo wheels talk about 38mm offset on all four.

also, what about 18" with 40mm offset?

and last, does anyone have a picture of a C4 with the new ZR1 wheels? i found someone selling them and i'm not sure i will like them, but would like to see a pic first.

and if anyone has any advice, let me know. i can't decide between another set of stock wheels, old ZR-1 repos, old Grand Sport repos, black C5 Z06 repos, or New ZR1 repos. or maybe something completely different (like something that is not a stock corvette wheel). just too much info. i'm going crazy and i haven't even begun to decide on tires. i have no idea what brand tire i want yet.

I believe the 38mm will only work on the front and rear if you have the Z51/Z52 option

hmm. i don't have that. all of the repo wheels advertised to fit 84-87 have a 38 mm offset all the way around. so i'm assuming they fit, but i hate to pay the money to find out they won't.

no one else has any other input?

Yes, you can run the 38mm 17X9.5 in the front.

I love my Sumitomo HTRZII's. The HTRZI's are great too!

Dunlop Sport 8000

They worked great at Pocono. Gripped the infield great and tracked true at 140MPH across the front straight!

Here ya go. This is my `87. The wheels are OEM `96 collector edition wheels with NO adapters

thanks guys. i was considering the Sumitomos but i wasn't sure if they were too 'cheap'. they were the least expensive on tirerack.com. i also was looking at pirelli's and Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval. but they were more expensive and i wasn't sure if they were worth the extra money. i'll have to check out the dunlops.

No issues at all, & if I did not tell you that there were no spacers I doubt if you would notice
