"Early" or "Late"
My car, a '90, was actually built on Sept. 22, 1989. I assume that would make it an "early" '90.
Where, exactly, is the dividing line between "early" and "late"? I have never found a definition.

In the realm of C4, early and late are only very significant for MY 86. All 86 verts are late and all aluminum head 86's are also late. When the entire model year is similar almost no one specifies E or L.

take the early date and the last date and divide them by 2.

early or late sould be VIN number dependent. where the dividing line is, i don't know. i would think, and i'm guessing here, would be the build date - calender year 89 is early and late would be calender year 90. ???
