C4 prototype dash I found at Funfest?
I went through the sale tent at funfest and found a interesting piece. It is suspose to be a test dash for C4 to replace the digital. I am not sure who would actually want one if they were made however I thought it was a cool conversation piece so I bought it. Here is a pic of it.

That looks like something you would buy in a Mexican flea market.

That thing looks like it came out of a 84 cavalier. I have my doubts that is a corvette prototype just because some guy selling it at Funfest said it was. It is registering speed in km/hr and the temp is C*.

If you look close at it you will notice it is all in Metric (km/h) and pretty basic (no tach).

I've seen some replacements that looked better!
I also remember seeing an instrument panel that looked like an 80s Firebird cluster that was meant for the C4.
At one time I thought it would be great to replace the Atari cluster. Not so much now. It's a character item. It makes an early C4 special.
Nice item though.

If you ever go inside the NCM, there is a analog C4 dash hanging on the wall with the whole story behind them.
Not only were prototypes made, an assembly line existed they were ready to go into full production in case the digital dashes didn't pan out.
