Default Red/Blue/Charcoal Metallic

I know CF does NOT need another what color to paint my car thread, this is not that.

My dilemma is does the world need another Red Corvette.

It is time for paint and it looks like my choice of color will be by coin toss.

After much time and evaluation I cannot choose between the 3 colors, but it will be one of the 3.

The car was originally Charcoal Metallic, but I just am not that excited about re-doing that color. It seems too formal and this car will Never be worth more to anyone because it is still the original Charcoal Metallic.

The interior it Grey leather so it would work with any of the 3.

Default red

There is a reason you see so many red vettes. They sell easy. Its called "resale red".

Paint it red.

Out of the three colors you listed, I'll take Metallic Red. I'd never have a Bright Red one, but the metallic is
And if I were you, I'd keep the Charcoal Metallic. Not only is it a nice color but it's fairly rare and it'd be easier to keep the same color paint.

I'm a lover of blue. For 40 years all I see is red, red, red. Much like Curly in one episode complained, "all we ever eat is beans, beans, beans"!

To be honest, there's a lot of blue Corvettes too.

You are right.

Back in '05 there was a group of us from C6 Gen who got together once a month down at the Block of Orange Krispy Kreme.

We always welcomed other gens and one month a guy showed up in his C4 Grand Sport, Admiral Blue with the stripes and hash marks.

It was the Vette I most enjoyed that month.

Admiral Blue it is.

I would suggest medium blue, like my 88. You don't see a lot of them in this color and I get compliments on the color everywhere I go. . .

That Medium Blue looks really sharp on your C4.

Mine was dark red. After 12 years/2 identical cars, I went red.

Just personal opinion, but if you watch B-J the high $ cars seem to be blue. While I have a Blue 88, with the grey interior I think the 85 blue would go better.

If you are going to go with a color change think outside the C4 Box and maybe look at something like Lindale Blue from 1967, that color seems to draw the biggest bucks at the auction and is not seen very often.

Dark Red Metallic or Admiral Blue but I believe the grey interior would better with the Admiral Blue

I voted for the Charcoal Gray Metalic. I've always liked that color and am sorry that Corvette only offered it for 4 years. However, my favorite color of all is the Daytona Blue offered in 1963 & 64. (But the car would have to have a red interior).

Thanks to all for the input.

It is a big help to hear what others think to keep me as objective as possible.

The Blues are winning out I have to admit. Charcoal Metallic is definitely elegant, I'm not sure I want my C4 to be elegant.

For some reason to me the blues seem sportier, and the Medium blue looks very clean. I need to find pix of Lindale Blue that is accurate. Admiral Blue is a little more harsh/brash than I think I want on the car, unless I was going to go whole hog for the Grand Sport treatment.

I appreciate all of your time.
