Who cares about the Vette....any mechanic worth his salt should be able to have it running in an afternoon....
Now is that a real (Y82) Indy Pace Car Fiero sitting up on the lift? I ask because it looks like the wheels are the aluminum instead of painted white. Tell me the story on the Indy....

Ahhh....I remember hearing about the Fiero before. Just looked at the pic in your avatar, didn't look further. You know cinder blocks aren't the most structurally sound material, correct? It will make a serious mess if it collapses. Is the Indy decal actually stuck to the door of a 79 mile car? And a non-indy to boot?
I'm still Indy hunting after all these years....Will have to be the right Indy though. Always keeping my eyes peeled.

So you drove it 79 miles and de-commissioned it?
The granada de-commissioned also?
So if I used cinderblocks I would have a 3 car garage instead of just a 2 car garage?

Sentimental value makes folks do things that seem odd to other folks. I would move heaven and earth if I could have my first Fiero back (same story as yours, bought new, college car, first date with wife, still have wife after 20 years).

My 3 car garage may shortly become a 5 car garage. In the part of garage you dont see in avatar sits another car [one of our daily Drivers] I may be putting a 4 post lift there[roof is high enough] to fit the 5 car. Its the old story about putting 2lbs of dogcrap in a one pound bag.

I would love to have my 37 ford pickup back. or my 63 nova SS with it's 350 / 4 speed, or my 70 1/2 Z28 with it's 360 HP 350.

You and your 91 are a perfect fit for www.corvettetroubleshooting.com which is a subscription only forum powered by the knowledge of Gordon Killebrew.
The site is scheduled to go live early next year. The business manager is in the process of typing up 4,000+ tips that Gordon dictated. Lots of this info is only in Gordon's head and has never been written down.
I found out about it at Carlisle this year and really think this is going to be a great site for C2 to C6 owners.

The C4 blurred the line where you could just throw parts at a Corvette and it was fixed. As mentioned earlier, there are wires everywhere on the car and it becomes a matter of becoming accustomed to wiring diagrams besides turning wrenches.
Sorry to hear about your 91 and hope you can get it running again. I've always had a soft spot for the 91 Vettes. I liked the updated styling and interior combined with the handsome looks of the L98 setup. If I couldn't have a ZR-1 in the future, I'd settle for a beautiful red or black 91'.

Yea, My trusty 63310 mile 1991 C4[had a thread about it running crappy] was put away in storage today. Its sitting in my garage exactly as you see it in my avatar. It still was running bad. Since May 3 good mechanics including myself gave up on it. Every time I drove it was a $100 buck day. after 5 months and nearly $1500. I decided to park it[maybe for a few years?] I drove it to use up the stabil mixed 93 octane down to last reserve bar. then drained the coolant. .oil.. disconected the battery, the $$$ Bleeding stopped!!! Whew!! Thank God. I love the car,I will keep it. its stored safe&Dry. Will be my future restoration project. I will still be here on the Forum as a Corvette owner. I have a total of 6 cars to keep up in my household,so one less is helping now. Someday the Turquious Metalic Monster will rize like the Phoenix again. In the pic on my avatar the other 2 cars havent moved either in years,so its sleeping in good company. I will be here in touch!
Yesterday the Phoenix rose from the grave!! I put my C4 on a friends trailer to transport it to a good mechanic 70 miles away in Maple shade,NJ We are going to try again!! First up is a complete fuel pump assembly.. I will keep all of you posted. Thanks Ed

I'm sure you are aware of this, but I thought I would mention it anyway; it would be a good idea to get her up on jack stand and off the tires so you don't get flat spots. I hope you don't have a rodent problem in your garage. They love to eat electrical wires.

You should have the Vette running just in time to put it away for the winter, no? Wish you lived close....an afternoon and we'd have had it running correctly last November.
