Found something to do with my extra parts
I like to watch Top Get and I noticed that they had one of these tables on their set. I figured that I could make one pretty easily. Since I sold my vette and all of my extra parts that were worth anything I had this extra block and some stock pistons/connecting rods. What do you think, a fairly nice addition to the man-cave in the basement?
The only trick was modifing the connecting rods to take the larger bolts. Here's what it cost me.
Engine block Free
4 Pistons on connecting rods Free
4 Bolts from around the garage Free
4 Metal spacers for the bolts Free
Old Camshaft with timing gear(optional) Free
Carwash to clean things off really well $6 in quarters
Glass top $25
Chrome Spray Paint $7
Clear Coat Spray Paint $5
Nice Metal Drill Bit $12
Antislip pads for the glass $1
Total: $56
I'm planning on building a nicer base in the future, but for now it will hold my stereo components.
