Yeah it's a workhorse, albeit a sweaty one , but we gotta take what we're given...

Happened to be on the KBB site & looked up the cargo specs for you.

Convert = 6.8 cu ft.

Coupe = 17.4 cu ft.

You could always add a hitch and a small trailer if you don't have enough room inside.

I have a Harbor Freight 40x48 trailer that I tow, holds 4 315 tires, a small truck box and a pop up shelter.

I have the volume but I was after dimensions so that I can visualize the space with my bags, boxes, and stuff.

what I came across was

17.9 cu ft coupe 6.6 cu ft conv 12.6 cu ft ZR-1

the interesting part is that the ZR-1 is smaller than the coupe. I'm not sure how or why.

The dimensions I've gotten so far calculate to 11.667 cu ft for the coupe and 5.444 for the convertible.

Now I know those are not necessarily perfect dimensions due to irregular shapes and such, but they come out pretty close to the manufacturer's stated volumes. I'm guessing the coupe value must be packing up under the rear window since being somewhat level only makes about 12 cu ft.

I don't know where you got your data from, but having owned a '93 coupe and now a '90 ZR-1, I can tell you the cargo area and entire interior is exactly the same between the two.

Other than that magical "Power Key" of course...

The info was from some of the car price sites, like Kelly, Edmunds, etc.

I think the 12 cu ft is for luggage piled to the level of the bottom of the rear glass and the 17 cu ft is pack all you can in there, even under the glass.

You don't usually think of packing until you can't see, but I think that is how they measured it.

I am having to dial back from a C5 to a C4 due to suddenly becoming a parent again, got custody of 6 year old grand daughter, the car switch is mostly for financial reasons. The C5 was a favorite due to us wanting to do some traveling and the luggage space they offered, now it seems you guys have shown that there is room for "her" stuff and we can still travel when we can. There are not a lot of C4's in this area that are in decent shape yet affordable but I'll look until one appears. Thanks for the help.....Which year do you prefer??????
