Make your own. This is made from a 1/8 inch oak sheet from Lowes and covered in a piece of fender mat and painted/interior dyed SEM Landau Black. I did this about 2 years ago, doing fine still. I questioned doing this cause I'm all for originality but I like it a lot, glad I removed that stupid thing. Ive heard the kit is cheesy for what it costs.

Default Walnut Dash Panel 1984-1989 $85 shipped

I have a custom hand made furniture grade wood dash panel crafted from a single piece of American Black Walnut. The panel is solid wood and a full ½” thick to eliminate warping. It is finished with a high gloss, scratch resistant polyurethane coating. Includes installation hardware and A/C regulator insert and instructions - $85 shipped if you are interested.

I'd leave the breadloaf alone, but it's your car. Enjoy!

I removed mine on my 86.Bought the kit. Its a real pain in the but to due.The kit says to cut the brackets with hack saw. I took it out in 1 piece.Have to take dash pad off.Bottom bolts suck. But I think it was worth it.
