Default LT1 Breather Location

Guys,

I got a set of polished valve covers that had the alternator cutout for the LT1s, but when they arrived today I realized the same cover with the cutout also has the oil fill and breather holes (my fault). It is possible to switch the breather location to the driver's side of the block without any negative issues? I know by doing this I would have to dump the hose and buy a breather which may or may not mess with my MAF measured balance.

Thanks.

the breather on the LT1 in the valve cover is the PCV valve. I dont think switching sides would make a difference but putting a filter on in place of the PCV valve would draw unmetered air into the engine and cause a leaner air fuel ratio.

PCV valve on LT1 is in the intake and draws fumes from the valley ; not rocker cover

I'd keep the PCV, but I'd probably put a breather instead of run a hose all the way around the back of the motor.

Doesn't look like it will hurt.
