Default Thank God for rain this weekend.

My rides in the shop basically cause of a minor oil drip. Brought it in Wednesday evening so they could start early . I was promised the car Thursday evening. Now I find out that the one part the shop ordered was wrong ( Oil pressure sending unit) and I wont get my car back till next Tueday.
Good news is that it's supposed to rain here all weekend, so I wont be missing it anyway.
I WAS warned this shop is slow..........but good work.

I did go over to take a look at it and all I can say is that I'm so happy I didnt do this myself. My car was in lots-o-parts. The mech. said my car was in very good condition, that made me feel good.

Said my Oil pressure unit was leaking oil
Said my intake gasket was leaking too.

So, new oil pressure unit ( wrong part ordered, the ONLY part I didn't supply)
New intake gaskets
New fuel injectors
New O2 sensor
New oil and filter
New plugs/wires
TB cleaned
IAC cleaned
New K&N filter

plus other minor stuff.
As mentioned earlier, I bought parts and am paying $400 labour.
So we'll see what happens next Tuesday?

raining here as well this weekend.

haven't had the vette out in almost 2 weeks as I was out of town last weekend. So I can either clean the Bedroom and Family room (those are the chores my wife gives me) or put new plugs and dist cap in the vette.

What do you guys think I'll do?

Vette comes first. The chores can be done at your leisure.(I hope)

I need to get my '91 in the shop soon for a "drip a trip" oil leak. They gave me some of this fluorescent liquid to put in the system so they can use a black light to trace where the oil is actually coming from. Sounds hi-tech. Now I wish I hadn't thrown away all my Jimi Hendrix posters!

Besides, there is a city-wide garage sale this weekend so I won't be doing any cruising this weekend.

The Ruby is hammered from a trip I took her on Tuesday.
Taking her out in a few minutes in the rain to go to breakfast with the Ridley Crew.
Figure I have to wash her anyway maybe this rain will get the worse of the bugs off!
Beats driving the work truck to breakfast
