Default 86 4+3 clutch fork boot

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-p...-86-4-3-a.html

Per the above link, there is obvious interest in this part, but there didn't seem to be a good conclusion on where we could pick one up. Anyone have any ideas? I have called everywhere.

GM # 14053689

If we can't replace it, any suggestions on how to repair the old boot? Mine is broken around where the stem sticks through the rubber. Its a fairly perfect tear all the way around. Thanks

WOW. Still nothing. Still must in deed be a rare part. What products are available for repairing stuff like this?

I've been looking for the boot that my linkage goes through for two years. Good luck.

Seems absolutely crazy that they wouldn't sell that boot somewhere. I would think that this would be a fairly common replacement item.

They just don't make them anymore and the used ones are probably going bad also. The local vette shop says he can get more parts for C-3's than C-4's.

Any change something like this might be adaptable to your needs: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/o...YaAsuTEALw_wcB

FYI - haven't looked under there so don't know if it's a close match or not, only that's it's for some GM products.

I know this is an old thread, but I have been looking for a NOS boot for a long time. Well, today I found a NOS one on everyone's favorite auction site. It was a little pricey, but is probably one of the last new ones around.

I just received the new reproduction clutch fork boot for my 1985 4+3 and it is a perfect part right down to having the original part number molded on it. Thanks to Volunteer Vettes for posting the information on this part.
