oil pressure sending unit failing?
Well I was just driving home car was acting perfectly normal and then the motor shut off, lights all still on and it fired right back up no issues and I drove home. Today it shut off but I was watching my oil pressure gauge and it went to 0 thus shutting of the motor, how ever it started right back up. So has anyone else had this problem and where is the sending unit for it located?(I cant find my hanes book)

Think this is one of the hardest Urban myths to kill. I believed it for almost 10 years. There is no circuit in the C4 that will kill the engine due to low oil pressure. To the contrary the oil switch will keep the fuep pump energized if it sees at least 4(I think) psi oil pressure.

Yes.
The oil pressure switch acts merely as a backup method to energize the fuel pump so the car will (eventually) start in the event of a fuel pump relay failure.
What you need to confirm is that, in fact, fuel pressure is falling off to zero when the oil pressure switch is showing 0 psi and causing the engine to stop running. Alternately, just put a fuel pressure gauge on the schrader valve, and do the key on 2 second prime. I'm betting you have zero psi of fuel pressure until you crank the car and achieve 4 psi or so of oil pressure. This means dead relay.
BTW....replace that oil pressure sender soon. If it is cracked and leaking, it will get worse....and your engine could exsanguinate before you realize there is a problem.
