Awesome, nice pics thanks for posting.
On the ZL1 Corvettes thought they only made 2 a yellow and black one.
The yellow was a fire victim which was restored, not sure what happened to the black one. Chased that car for years.

I was there earlier this year with two Porsche clubs. Nice day trip. Loved the cars. The owner and his staff are open for questions. He has a crew that goes over the cars routinely. They have a little cafe there where you can have lunch too. If your near it, it's worth the trip. It was really hard to pick a favorite.

I have been to the Muscle Car Museum a couple of times and even spoke with the owner. He is a really nice guy. I remember talking to him about the blue ZL1 that he has and some controversy about it being a real ZL1. I don't think that car originally came with that engine but I think the owner believes that the engine is a real aluminum ZL1 engine. He didn't seem to really care and just liked the car.
He has more cars and rotates them through the museum. He use to keep them at this warehouse before moving them to the Walmart location.

correct - it's either a wal-mart or K-mart. i stopped by there last year, and it's a mind blowing collection - also, great little on-site diner, and gift shop. as i remember, it seemed like 98% of the collection was GM hardware, and at least 75% were corvettes. a must see for any gearhead that visits the gulf coast of florida. i give it a

Here is the back story on that ZL-1

Our feature Corvette is now in the hands of Rick Treworgy, of Punta Gorda, Florida. Rick's owned the car since 2001, and he's researched the car's provenance. He believes it started life as a big-block, perhaps an L88, especially since it was minus the radio straight from the factory. Some of the numbers on the Corvette and the ZL1 look tantalizingly close, but no cigar.
