Mobil 1 5W30 is all you need. Your engine will work fine and last a long time.

Not a bad oil, it's just there are better choices, the 0w-40 Mobil 1 is a much better oil

I would use whatever was cheaper. Don't think there is too much difference in the two. I change oil between 5000-7000 anyways.

t's possible they've tweaked the formulation since then, but in some UOA's done by Butler labs in 2005 on the 5W-30, the big differences are:
Boron - 251 EP vs 76
Calcium - 2822 EP vs 2380
Phos - 948 EP vs 678
Zinc - 1058 Ep vs 775

Mobil 1 in my '94! And yes, it is good on Corvette pie!
