How to remove tail lights?
Guys,
I'm a C5 owner but there is a local guy that stopped by my work after seeing my car. He has an 86 C4, bought some blacked out tail lights for it.
He asked me to help out on swapping the lenses.
Any tips before I tackle this project on how to get the tail light lenses out? I took a quick look but it's not like the C5 where the lights screw in from the outside, these appear to be attached from the inside.
Do you remove the interior, rear speakers or the license plate?
Thank you for any advice,
Donnie

The easiest way is to remove the backup lights and stick your arm into the hole with a 10mm wrench. Then get the outside light through the inside light hole. Prepare to lose some skin.

If you remove the license plate, you can reach the inboard
lamp. Then you reach thru the inboard hole to the outboard
lamp. You can reach up from below if you have long arms.
I couldn't reach them from the bottom.

I would put a "JK" @ the end of that. No need to be a jerk..he prolly just posted the pic so he could help someone out that would be changing their tail lights with the TAIL SECTION ON THE CAR LIKE MOST OF US DO.

You suck bro. seriously. Just don't post in MY THREAD if you don't have anything helpful to post.
You are a freak. I ain't a noob. I just don't post in the C4 section and was trying to help a fellow corvette owner out.
Watch who you tell to shut the fuc* up..it's easy to bask in the anonymity of the internet isn't it?

at the risk of stepping between a fight,
if you take the plastic cover off the fuel filler (4 screws), then pull the rubber surround off, you can reach in without taking skin off (it worked for me to replace bulbs)
