The stock AC system on a C4 is such a joke anyways... I never bother with it. It reminds me of a review I read on the McLaren F1. They said the AC was just like having a dog panting on your face. I have been in 5 c4's and the AC was only so so on the 96. My Z06 AC system is bad ***.

I sent him an email asking him if i bring a battery can we start it and test drive it and he told me no he dont want anyone driving it cause of the bad A/C. I dont know to many people who will pay 9k for a vette that they cant test drive. Sounds like money pit. Would not be suprised if there is motor or trans problem.

Sorry, not a good reason. I know times are tough but if you want top dollar (which is what he is asking for) the car has to be drivable. Buy a used battery or borrow a battery.

" DR Witt" just emailed me back saying he knows what he has and knows its worth every penny. Being a Doctor he has money for a battery. I tried to explain to him that IF the car was running 8,800 would be hard to get. With not hearing the motor and knowing how the trans shifts unless you find some sucker you will never get 8800. 8800 plus fixing the ac your close to a 10,000 dollar car. You can get a really nice LT1 car with low miles that runs and needs nothing for that kind of money.

I agree,And also who in their right mind would buy a car that is supposed to run without atleast hearing it run.

WHY would you NOT drive a car just because the AC is messed up? I agree - something smells fishy on this one!

About the response I expected.

You guys didn't mention my favorite thing in a C/L ad....

"Title is missing but car isn't stolen. It's very easy to get a new title"

I always email them and ask them, "If it's so damned easy to get a title, why don't YOU do it?"

I seldom get a response, but when I do, it's something along the lines of "I haven't had time, etc". It is neither cheap nor easy to get a new title, at least in Texas. It is expensive and time consuming, and isn't always possible.

First name is "Dim" I presume!

Nice looking color combination, lack of a battery is no big deal, A/C could be more of a big deal, but refusing to let you test drive it....

And over and over, we see people with high asking prices who "know what they have" and the cars are always "worth every penny". Translation - "If I paid that much for it, must be everybody else will too!"

Sounds like a scammer. Of course it does not say Cooper OWNED the cars, just drove them . In the future, if I ever come across a celebrity I'll ask them to pose in my Vette for a photo. That should add quite a bit to its value if I ever sell it!

At what point does something like that become actual fraud (criminal) as opposed to just slick salesmanship? Somebody should at least report the bozo to flea-bay.

Give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe the seller knows Alice and got him to pull it out of the shop and throw a signature on the dash.

......ya' never know.
