My car has the standard brakes however a friend gave me J55 calipers and abutment plates. Where do you guys buy your rotors that are high quality as well as pads?

Check rockauto then.
Or your local auto parts store. As long as they have the directional vanes in them its all chineese.
I'm on my last set of Raybestos red label made in Canada rotors so I'll be doing this soon

Hard to say about Brembo regarding where they are made. Most brands carry Chinese-made rotors. Brembo used to have a plant in Canada a few years ago but it was shut down and the equipment was moved to China.

For street use, go to Rockauto and look at the Raybestos "Professional Grade Advanced Technology" rotors. Centric is also a good brand for street use. Centric also has drilled/slotted that are not expensive and again are decent street rotors.

I bought Earl's stainless brake hoses from Summit Racing. The Tire Rack has Goodridge lines and are good quality' they are used by lots of CF members.

One other question. I found a vendor on here that sells rotors and ceramic pads. Are ceramic pads good for a street driven car or are they more for track use?

Ceramic pads are only OK on the street.

I did not like the goodrige lines because it was too easy to put them on so the line rubbed on my tires. I love the Earls lines on there now.

If you are still thinking about street pads Hawk HPS or the Carbotech street pads would be fine.

This is a low dust performance street pad

The Carbotech Bobcat 1521™ is our high performance street compound that is our most successful compound. The Bobcat compound is known for its awesome release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. Like our AX™ & XP™ line of compounds, Bobcat 1521™ is a Ceramic based friction material offering minimal rotor damage and non corrosive dust. Bobcat 1521™ offers outstanding performance, even when cold, low dusting and low noise with an excellent initial bite. This compound’s virtually perfect linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Bobcat 1521™ operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 900°F. Bobcat 1521™ is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle, police cruiser, and has won multiple SCCA Solo 2 and Prosolo National Championships. The Bobcat 1521™ compound has been found to last two-three times longer than OE pads you can purchase at a dealership or national retailer. Bobcat 1521™ compound has also been found to extend the life of your rotors 2-3 times. That’s one of the beauties of Carbotech Ceramic brake compounds. Bobcat 1521™ is NOT recommended for any track use.
