Default Vette Drivers Needed - American Warrior Airlift

The Corvette Museum is sponsoring the American Warrior Airlift on March 29 and 30. Fifty Wounded Warriors are being airlifted from Walter Reed to Ft. Campbell, Ky. Corvette drivers are wanted to pick them up and drive them to/from various events and ultimately driving them back to Ft. Campbell. Events include a dinner reception and a VIP tour of the Corvette Assembly plant. The Kentucky State Police will provide escort to and from Ft. Campbell. More info can be found on the Corvette Museum website.

I signed up for both days in a heartbeat.

If I didn't live 2000 miles away I'd be all over this like white on rice!

What a very event. Hope fifty Vette owners can donate their time to this.

Too bad you can't make it. We could have cruised down together. I live in Ellettsville, just west of Bloomington.

I got on the NCM site and it's actually the 29th - 30th so I was just talking to my wife and what I'm going to try to do is finish my budget earlier in the day on the 29th drive home from Chicago hop in the Vette and get down to Bowling Green the night of the 29th and hopefully participate all day on the 30th. Being a Vet I would love to put a smile on some of these guys faces for a day.. I'll talk to my boss on Monday and make sure I can get this done....

If they have trouble getting fifty I will drive to Ky in a heartbeat. I'll keep in contact with them to see.

But I can't imagine them not having enough!

It is about a 13 hour drive from west central Florida, but I am going to keep an eye on it and see how they are doing with cars. Will get in touch with the museum.
