The old train station in Pittsburgh...such an epic building. Converted to condo's.

Zombie threads are OK. Hell, I didn't know what "slammed" meant, so I learned something.

How did you raise your car? I have VBP springs, and the car is just to low, raising 1/2" would be great. Rear just do the bolts easy, but a spacer block or something in the front?

Ok here's my take on what you might do?
Go back to stock springs?
If you want to leave the VBP springs in then try this....
Lift the 1 corner of the car up then take another floor jack with a block of wood under the leaf, and lift the end of the leaf spring only. (You have to take your tire off to do this.) This should lift the leaf spring enough from the lower A Arm for you to put a 1/2 inch Metal spacer under the end of the leaf spring. You might have to cut the spacer to the correct shape to fit in the A Arm. Lower the leaf very carefully making sure the spacer stays centered.
Another way would be to take out the spring and put another 1/2 inch spacer on top of your spring mounts but that is a lot more work and you might have to get longer mounting bolts? Good luck.

Mine sits like this one and I haven't found the extra care necessary to avoid contact is all that difficult to provide. When I come up and down the curb at the end of the driveway I approach at an angle and it doesn't scrape - barely for sure, but two years after lowering and I'm still on the same front spoiler.

Did your prom date wear tennis shoes with her ball gown? Mine neither. The combination of wheels, tires, and stance are the automotive equivalent to shoes. A Corvette demands something more stylish than Sorrel boots if you ask me. I don't mind paying attention so that the look that I prefer also works for me, but this isn't for everyone.

This right here. Couldn’t have said it better myself.

When you are laying the cable to your prom date does it feel like you poking a brick? See we can do this all day. Slamming a Vette is junk science unless you are racing it. It makes no sense what so ever on a street car. They ride like **** and throw the whole suspension geometry out the window causing problems elsewhere. But hey, what do I know. I have only been working/modifying cars for 45 years. And besides, it’s so ghetto it’s crazy.

Old thread, however i lowered mine to make the C5 wheels look right.
I kinda want to lower it a little more, however my chin spoiler is taking a beating...

the two tone with the slight lowering looks great with the thinspokes. never been a fan of them on a c4 but that looks nice.

I have been happy with them, i love the looks but it's a pita to keep my brakes pretty.
they also get pretty nasty looking after a few days of daily driving.

i paid $300 for the set.

After lots of thought i think I'm going for a single tone of a brighter colored silver than i currently have.

then the issue with my wheels, painted silver wheels won't be the same tone and will probably look off.

i have been playing with the idea of having them powder coated black, or a dark grey or gunmetal color...

I played around with my ride height alot and this is as low as I could go without bottoming out. Took a lot of testing to figure this ride height out.
I tried to go really low...

But I was bottoming out and hitting the exhaust so that doesn't work if you want to drive the car vs just looking at it.

my suspension is fully adjustable so I can go as low as I want but its not practical...

Trust me unless you drive around on glass smooth roads you need a reasonble ride height.

Just leaving my neighborhood the chin spoiler drags like crazy, and I'm not even that low.

You can hear me coming due to the dragging sound.
