Another "shed" find
My cousin bought a 70 Chevelle last weekend. 396 SS clone car, engine is in great shape but the body leaves something to be desired. Old guy had it listed in the local paper and my cousin found it under a "getting rid of old junk cars" ad. He called me and wanted to borrow my car hauler to go get it. After he arrived he called me and asked if I wanted another vette. He was looking for some of the Chevelle parts in old shed and moved an old hood and there was the vette. Said it was an 85 red w/white interior and he wanted 1900 for it. Owner said it ran, he went out there every few months and started it just to keep it up. Said it showed some wear but wasnt torn up. Decisions, decisions..... I am waiting on some pics now. If I get the pics I will post them.

damn! I knew there was something special about that car! I can make all kinds of money off it with some "one of a kind" online ads!
All I know was what he told me, supposed to get the pics to me tonite or tomorrow, maybe then I can figure it out, but I am probably going to pass, too many projects hanging out in back anyway. Will post them and then we can tear it apart from a distance.

It's probably white with red interior.
D@mn, if it was only closer, I might get #4.

These screamin' deals are starting to **** me off. Everyone here thinks their roached out 84 with 170K and 6 coats of house paint on it is worth $10K. And then they can't figure out why it doesn't sell.

It looks like the rims are just polished too and not chrome. Someone should call and tell him since it's the only 83 1/2 he should add a 0 to the price.

Melting Slicks
I thought all 84s reguardless of condition were only worth $2500. I think it had something to do with people loosing their fillings and something about fires?

Got the pics today, I stand corrected, its a red on red. they got it outside where you could see it. Think its an 86, tried to call the owner today but no answer. Cousin said he thought it could be got for 1200 and it runs. What do you think?
I am probably going to pass, too much work for me and my other projects. Check out the top of the steering wheel!

If it runs for $1200, I'd grab it. If you're not looking for a concours restoration, there are inexpensive ways to rehab the interior. Throw a Maaco special paint job on it, clean it up, and drive the **** out of it.
