Default ZR1 wheels - different center cap depths? (17x11x50mm)

Strange issue, I have a ZR1 wheel on my 94 LT1, the wheel is marked 17x11x50mm, its a deep lug wheel. I needed another wheel to match, I bought one off the forum here. New wheel is also marked 17/11/50mm BUT it IS a deep lug design but they are not "quite" as deep as the other wheel and the cut out where the center cap goes is about 3/4 of an inch thicker than the other wheel. From looks, it seems like the wheel when mounted on the car works out to the same actual dimensions as the other wheel (i.e. from the hub to the outer wheel is seems to be about the same as the other, the distance from the thicker center offsets the shallower lugs) but I have never seen or heard of an issue like this. Anyone have any insight they could share. I may try to post a picture later.

Default

With a 50mm offset you have ZR1 replica wheels. They are available from more than one company, so they may have slightly different designs.

A real factory ZR1 wheel (36mm offset) would stick outside the fender lip quite a bit.
