SEM paints can fix that check your local auto paint supply (not auto parts store). Good stuff.

They stay on, wont crack and have the proper finish. heat or sweat doesnt seem to affect them. SEM makes the factory shades check into it.

Out of curiousity, a friend says he uses the DupliColor dye products. I'm using SEM myself, but it would be interesting to know if there's a significant difference in the quality/durability of both products.

I painted my DD's A/C vents and inner door handles five years ago and they are holding great.

That is interesting. I have all red interior parts. All the plastic you can replace in the interior is red. I don't like it. I guess I can try painting it. How do you apply it?

It comes in cans -- like spray paint. You'd think it was paint if you didn't read the label. Thing is, it's thinner though. And, it doesn't seem to peel like paint. Good stuff.

Clean the CRAP out of your surfaces. That's the key. Any grease/oil will contribute to peeling or wear. They even make special plastic (dye prep) cleaners.

Apply with lots of light coats.
