no longer a daily driver, anything special to do?
well the 94 has been my daily driver the past year and half, but i finally purchased a 2nd car for everyday driving. now the vette is just my nice weather toy. with the weather warming up, i plan on driving it once or twice a week. is there anything special that needs to be done to a car if it were to sit for a week or so? i know when winter rolls around there will be some things to do, but im just wondering if i have anything to worry about for now. thanks!

Driving it a couple times a week,....nothing special. Just check tires and such before you take off. might check for mice as well, depending on where it's parked.

It comes out of the garage for its ride to the closest road course, on the trailer, off the trailer, engine sees 6K rpm for 20min 4 times a day, back on the trailer, off the trailer and back in the garage.
Starts right up every time!

Most vehicles will have no trouble sitting for extended periods as long as the maintenance is kept up. My pulling truck is a 1989 F250 with 46K original miles. I use it primarily in the summer to pull my fifth wheel. During the off season, I drive it to work and back twice a month or so.....never have any issues. Drives like a 3 year old truck....I'd trust it to go anywhere. It's a 460, so you see why I don't drive it more.....big block has a voracious appetite.

Fire it up once in a while to keep the battery charged. I have a van we use occasionally and have had to replace batteries a few times over the years due to minor drains or lights left on.

Now that its a extra car. Insurance will be cheaper if ya go with a Classic or antique insurance like "American Collectors" or Hagerty. Ya just need a daily driver & have it Garaged. I pay $210 a year on my 1991. Get to drive it 5000 miles a year.

You don't have to go with specialty insurance to get a good rate on your Vette as long as you have another car that is theoretically your DD. Several of the big insurance co's that I have used and/or priced have surprisingly low rates and don't limit mileage. And, as for your motor pool, who's to say which car you drove to work today?
