Default Most mileage on a tank of fuel

I added some STP octane boost and filled with high-grade BP last summer and "squeeked out" 500 miles from the fill up. What is your best mileage on a tank, just curious.

Did! Trip to Cincy Ohio last summer. Went up to Florence first, got a hotel..went to the mall there. Then went to Coney Island and then caught the Kiss concert at Riverbend that evening. Drove back to hotel at Florence and then made it back to nearly Middlesboro, KY the next day. Trip Odometer read 475 miles and had 25 in reserve...so if It would not go 25 more it would have still been close. I have taken it down to 12 miles on reserve before stopping before. I travel behind trucks as long as they are scooting round 70 and pass the slower ones. Why would I lie ?

That's very possible if it was highway driving at 25mpg.

70-75 usually driving behind larger vehicles on the interstate for the most part with a few trips around the Florence area at lower speeds. My goal was to see how far it could go if I drove her with the thoughts of saving. 450 miles on a tank of fuel is easy ! I do that all the time. Its a 95 stock C4 and had new fuel filter, new plugs and wires with slightly over inflated tires. Also had recently changed lubricant in both trans and diff. I promise Im not

(at least over this)

I will be making the same trip in July...I will post the results on this trip too. Its amazing how NON-MODDED vettes perform if you drive them responsibly. I guarantee I get over 450 miles !

Forget all that- how the hell does KISS move those old bones around in those 12" pedestal boots? Is Gene Simmons uglier in person? and what's with that Cat makeup-it's so anti R&R!

Oh, and I get about 150 miles per tank. Weekend warrior that likes to punch it light to light whenever I can.

I do not follow trucks, they blow oil & kick up all sorts of road debris.

MPG is irrelevant when in the Vette.

If anyone in here does that you need to learn about rubber, dirt, rocks, friction, drag, front end, clear coat and painting.

Was not saying it matters to me all the time, just wanted to beat the Altima's average once. Did that easily. The point I was ending with......the average Vette is not a gas guzzling muscle car that needs to be banned by the government. When driving normally it will get better mileage than some of those imported so-called gas savers. Nobody asked me how many mpg I get around town. Starting and stopping mpg....not so good but neither is the Altima. We really need to make the point that our Vettes are economically feasable before our out of control leaders ban our cars.

You should be proud then it beats my 3.8 Camaro in MPG .... I only have maxed about 390 miles on a tank in it. Would have thought my Camaro could have easily beat your vette in MPG boy was I wrong. Maybe I should convert it to a LT1 and get better fuel economy

440 miles, Morgan Hill to Indio, just before Christmas.
I could have gone a good bit further, but there was no
gas station for a long ways, and my bladder was full.

20 gallon tank, 27 MPG on the freeway, 540 mile range.

Oh so a vette has a larger tank.
