Default Stink bugs are moving into my car!

Can someone give me an idea of how "stink bugs" can get into my car? It's sitting in a closed garage, windows closed, and under a car cover. The past few days I looked in the car and one or two of those dirty little pests is crawling inside on the dash or near the back window. We here in western PA have been plagued with these nasty looking things since last year. The cold weather did nothing to kill them off.

Get use to it, its only going to get worse. They are starting to show up everywhere.. Last year they didn't show up at my home but were 25 miles north in Cumberland Md. Im pretty sure they will be down here this coming year and there impossible to keep out of your house also..WW

Maybe the little bassages got into it last fall when it was warm and hatched out when spring arrived.

I am not sure they hatch or reproduce during the winter but the cling to anything to get inside for the winter. they are into everything. I opened the lid on the tour pack on the bike and there were at least 6 in there and that lid has not been open sense last fall and is weather tight with no openings.

Shoving a hostile poisonous creature into my mouth isn't my idea of fun.

Todays score....

7 were smashed with a hammer on the hot tubs cover this morning two were killed by my wife this morning in her Van...This afternoon I killed 5 more on the inside window of my garage

they were so bad her in central/Western Maryland that I kept a shop vac outside to vacuum them up so I could get in the house last year .. I also am an amateur backyard Astronomer with a Slotted domed observatory in the backyard...I gave up covering my telescope the year before last when I discovered at least 100 under the cover crawling all over my Optical Tube assembly...

No way to keep them out...

Real bad news is that last year they started to cause the local farmers some serious damage to field corn as well as tomatoes...

lets just say I HATE THESE BUGS....!!!!

Careful, my girl friend smashed a lampshade with a towel while swating at one. Not sure if she got it or not.

FWIW, we just spotted another one in the house for the first time this year. Luckily no damage occured.

don't have stink bug problem but I have lady bug infestation in my room above garage. This solution may not fix the problem but it certainly is satisfying. I got my bagless vaccum cleaner and sucked them all up. 557 was final count... Then I sprayed raid on them all and Nazied gas chambered them.

Very satisfying...

Even if there were stinkbugs up there, you'd be so weak from loss of blood due to deerfly bites you wouldn't notice them. And a walk in the woods means providing a portable buffet for 10,000 mosquitos. No thanks.

When it comes to biting insects, the only place worse than Ontario in my experience are the jungles of SEAsia. I'll take our friendly CA scorpions any day -- just avoid reaching into the woodpile with bare hands and you'll be all right. And our rattlesnakes are thoughtful enough to give a warning if you get too close.

what a waste; gardeners, especially rose gardeners, pay money for lady bugs which feed on aphids, amongst other soft bodied garden pests.
