L98 Exhaust systeme 84-85 VS 86-91
So i have an 85. Many exhaust are not available for the 84-85. They they are for 86-91.
The ones that are available for the 85, I do not like the tips, which is why I made my own custom pipes.
The main point of all this is if I was to buy an exhaust for an 89 L98, why would it not fit on my 85 ?
Does any one know what the difference is ?

Biggest difference is just the way the rear Y either bolts to or slip-fits to the main cat. Thats why they say its all 86-91, irrespective of the pre-cat front Y change.
Not a problem really.

I don't know your setup but I wouldnt think it would be anything a competent shop or yourself couldn't easily fix.
One slips on and the other bolts to the cat, thats it.
