Well I thought I would clean up the rear wheel wells. Then I decided to do a little something with the fronts..... then while the wheels were off had to clean them too.

Thank you!
First, just a little simple green and scrub brushes (for the wheels that's all they needed).
Second, xxxx steel wool.
Third, mother's aluminum polish and elbow grease. I apply and spread the mothers by hand and then use a whole pile of those yellow micro fiber towels that I buy in bulk from costco. This time I also used a small cloth wheel that I bought from Eastwood in my portable electric drill on just a few things like the tops of the A-arms.
Wheel wells (and the engine bay) get finished with Aerospace 303. Actually the rear wheel well liners come out fairly easy and then they are easy to clean.
This time I also sprayed the wheels with ArmorAll wheel protectant. This is supposed to allow you to just "rinse away" break dust. We'll see LOL. I let you know in a month or so how that works out but I have several corvette friends that swear by this stuff.
