Me and my 5 year old got caught by a camera a couple of weeks ago.
After owning it for a year I still think it is a stunning colour on a C4. 🙂

Taj Mahal's standard She Caught the Katy refers to the old Missouri Kansas Texas line. Now part of Union Pacific, each original older line has an engine with original livery. The Katy was in town recently and I ran over and got this shot.

hi and thanks!
i saw a c5 with this top conversion, and kept looking at my c4, thinking, GM seems to have done all the work for me on this. i will be adding linear actuators to raise the top.
the doors are from dream car customs in savannah. very easy to install.

Thanks, the caliper covers came with car. I believe Ecklers and Corvette Central sell them. Amazingly they are $200. A friend has a Mustang whose covers were $50. Must be that Corvette tax I keep hearing about. LOL

Those doors are pretty cool. I've gone back and forth on doing a conversion like that-was it pretty easy to do? I'm certainly not a newb to DIY but I always thought those doors would be a huge PITA. I also wouldn't want to do any damage to the car and have the option to go back to factory if I change my mind.
Also, what did you do to the top? It's hard for me to see here, was it originally a convertible or the Targa top?
Thanks!

what i did
That's a bold look, to be sure. I'm not a huge fan of the spoiler, but I also think "To each their own"-if you like it, then who cares what I think?

ok its all easy stuff that just looks difficult, and EVERYTHING i do is 100% completely reversable, or i have bought a second part to hack up, and i put up the original part to bolt back in.
starting with the doors theres a company in savannah Ga (http://www.dreamcarcustom.com/) <iframe width="414" height="335" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/8JWChjI7F58" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> that makes a strong bolt in lambo door hinge. its a one man job and takes about 4 hours. they have install videos on youtube.. brutal easy.... hardest part was grinding down the hinge pin.
here is a link to my car on youtube
i picked up the hard top and had the conversion parts around ( not my first rodeo) and installed the hard top. then saw a guy that has a c5 where he laminated a frc onto his tonnau cover.... utilizing the existing hinge ( he and i both had to address rigidity cuz gm didnt intend for that.....) because i knew i would need more points to keep the top secure i watched how some other hard top makers addressed this and came up with a resessed molly setup.. that gave me 4 very secure spots to anchor the removable hardtop to the tonnau, but still be able to quickly remove it to go topless. i did cut the tonnau cover in the pics for more dramatic effect in the car and allow the sound wave to propelry form( audio system). i ordered linear actuators to add push button lift for the top.
custom white tail lights give themselves away, if you think on it. i used a dremel to cut the face of the lenses off, preped and sprayed the exposed insides whit, cut plexi... laid in the led halos and second tail lights and glued the plexi ( version 2 will have removable pelxi faces like newer vette tails)........
theres a whole lot in the car youd never know if i didnt point it out.. i have raspberry pi intigrated it the obd1/ radio/ and cellular wifi to control and monitor the car as an IOT device ( think buick commercial on steroids)......
if the top conversion leaves you faint of heart, i think there a company in canada that will do it for you but its crazy expensive. i took many pictures of this project i could share if you ( or anyone) wants to see
also if anyone knows someone that has a BROKEN HARDTOP for a c4 for sale please let me know... im making a targa version too
anything i can help with, let me know
