Thanks!
My son got lucky, my best friend got a new car and no longer had room in his driveway for the C4, so he gave it to my son as a present. I told my son I would split the cost of fixing it up, and so far we are in it about $3,000 - and that includes a new windshield, tires, wheel alignment, brakes, and getting the speedo repaired - the rest was small stuff.
He will be happy to know that someone else his age started with a Corvette - as all the friend's parents think we are nuts for letting him have one.

My son is into older cars, and has gone to car shows with me sine he was walking on his own.
We changed the oil and filter on it last weekend, and he enjoys having me teach him how to work on it.
He loves that car, and realizes how lucky he is to have it. I feel he will take very good care of it.

My buddy gave him the car, my wife and I just signed off on it.

Nice to see that the emergency hood release cables are already installed. Now show your son how to change all of the rest of the fluids.

We just got back from an hour's ride up Mt. Tamalpais - the photo was taken at Alpine Dam. We hit 90° today, so it was a pleasant day to hit the mountain.

Some pics before summer ends. Original wheels is off, I use these while car is garaged for winter. Jarmo's Rat Rod Cafe is a really nice place if you like old rusted cars and parts, all arranged as it could look at a workshop / gas station in the past. I think Jarmo is an true artist.

Just in case that some of you don´t know the world language of Swedish (no not chocolate and wathches, thats Switzerland ) I just greeted numlock68 and said that Jarmo´s looks like a cool place. Now you know some swedish.

It's hard to get a good pic of white paint! it was fairly cloudy but still a decent picture imo.
Really learning how to dry this car properly without leaving watermarks on the glass or paint, pretty easy when you're much taller than the roof!
