Default what it was....what it is

I picked up this 86 Convertible in May of 2009 for $500.00 with a clean title. I had a totaled 94 coupe with 52k that I paid $1800 to the insurance company to keep. The 86 was stripped bare, I used the firewall, dashboard, running gear engine and most of the interior out of the 94 to rebuild the 86.

Evidently, you can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

Nice!

WOW...that looks great. Great Job. I like that color! I know it was a big job, but how much fabrication did you have to do to get the 94 parts to fit? Again, the car looks great...........

I replaced the firewall, converted the tunnel for the 6sp, front and rear speaker mounts, e brake handle had to be moved, front and rear shock mounts, modified the frame so the LT1 exhaust would fit, just to name a few. Lots of little gotchas along the way.
