Door Sill Carpet Question
So I purchased a nice set of used door sill carpet panels for my 1992 Corvette. I have just installed them, but the two screw holes do not match up on either the drivers or passengers side. I mean they are not even close. Is this normal when replacing these panels? I want to be sure before drilling new holes in the fiberglass sills.

Possibly the previous vehicle had aftermarket Sill Covers installed over your used carpeting. The holes (if any) on these often do not line up with what Chevrolet built, so new holes are drilled.
Sill Covers, though over priced like most Corvette accessories, do a great job of protecting the carpet from wear. The C-4 sills are particularly prone to excessive wear from body parts dragging across them.

I actually switched the original sill plate covers with another original set. Both sets have holes in the carpet and panel. Where the issue is, is that the holes in the panels do not line up with the holes in the sill of the car.
I am just a bit hesitant about drilling another set of holes in the body of the car.
Any other thoughts, opinions, experiences?
Thanks!
