New Member. just want to know some details onthe C4 to C5 conversion
first of all, i realize that the C4 to C5 conversion is highly frowned upon in the Corvette community. I dont care about that, i cant afford the C5 model, and even if i could, i would not be able to afford the difference in insurance. i would also like to state that i like the interior of the C4 over the C5 which is another reason why i want to do the conversion on a C4.
the reasons why i want do to the conversion is because i like the oval tail lights compared to the stock tail lights and that i dont want to sacrifice the interior of the C4 to the C5.
my question is what is the process of doing the conversion, will there be cutting, drilling, welding, realignment, rewiring, additional wiring, or anything else that you have to do for the conversion. if i could get a step by step process of how to do the conversion, including how to remove the fibreglass pieces, i would greatly appreciate it.

there's several adjustments, but if you were just replacing damaged c4 parts you would have to do the same adjustments. most of the venders you buy the kits from include tech sheets, this site has a search function, use it

i dont want the c5 headlamp kit, no the c4 is not ugly to me, no, i plan on using the c4 floor mats and the oil i use is royal purple, i might switch to castrol GTX highmileage to save some money though. and i wouldnt classify a corvette under "ricer".

How are you gonna glass in the side mounted fuel fill? now it will matter which side of the car the gas pump is on.
Gettin' that transaxle to work should be a breeze.

i thought there wasn't any complications? im not asking for your guys opinion on my corvette, everyone can do whatever they want to theirs, right? and whats so bad about changing the body of it, it doesn't do anything bad to the car, if anything, it reduces drag and makes the car more aerodynamic. so can u guys just b honestwith me about what has to be changed to do it.
