Tucson C4 Mechanic/Restoration
Hello,
I bought my C4 ('88 vette) a couple years ago and have been having fun driving it. I have been ok/handy dealing with my own cars in the past, but the 'vette just seems more complicated to work on then is worth it. But I don't trust it to just anyone, since I've heard horror stories.
So I have an immediate clutch and transmission issue I'd like looked at, and possibly some interior restoration for the future. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good, and reasonably priced, mechanic in Tucson, AZ, that can troubleshoot and fix an '88?
Thanks,
Paul

Since you haven't gotten a response yet, allow me to make a suggestion. You might check with the local Corvette clubs and see who wrenches on their cars. Another option is that you might try going on line and going to Yelp.com on the internet. Yelp is a pretty darn good place for getting reviews on all kinds of business's including car repair.
I typed in car repair and then sorted by highest rating. More than a few shops came up with many positive reviews.

Vistoso Automotive, 12945 N Oracle Road, 520-468-7171 (do not believe you need to dial the 1-520) does all the difficult stuff for me; I I have a 1987 basic Corvette convertible.
The are honest and will give you an estimate. I suspect that they were retired Chevy people.

PS-- vistosoautomotive.com is the address of their website

go to Tucson Corvette Club find out when the next meeting is, or send a msg to "info" at the bottom of the home page. I'll bet you find out quick who is good around town and who to avoid.
