I had a guy in a gutted civic tell me that my Corvette is not a race car because it still has the AC and therefore his gutted Honda is more of a race car.

Hmmm well I never claimed that it was, but I asked him what he runs at the track and his answer was that he has never been to the track........

Now by my reckoning ANY car that has been timed on any race track is a lot more of a race car than something that hasn't. Maybe I just didn't eat enough rice to follow his logic.

I can't be the only one to encounter this level of stupidity. What have you been told?

I was told I should put in Lambo doors, 22' spinners and a system. Oh and then he challenged me to race. He drove a 2 door Cavalier. I politely declined both suggestions.

where i work, they ask you to open your trunk for inspection before you can enter the plant. the first time i drove my 1991 to work, you guessed it, he said "will you please pop the trunk". i laughed and said, corvette has no trunk. he laughed and sent me on. see ya

During the testing run with the new engine, I pulled to bust stop and check everything was ok. Guy in his 50's came to me, look the car for a while and then said "yeah, these kit cars are full of problems, my son has one of these made onto ford taunus chassis"

you can run real fast (as final speed)
