Default Bose stereo - to kick a dead horse

A couple quick questions for you Bose guys out there, I am guessing my CD player on my 94 coupe with the Bose/Delco stereo is dead. It won't accept CD's, doesn't seem to be one stuck in it, and has a SVC shining brightly in the RL corner of the display. The radio works great, as do all the speakers and amps, just seems to not want to function with CD's anymore. Any thoughts, things I could check before I contemplate sending it in for a refurbishment?

At least your speakers and amps work. Mine suffers from just about every Bose ailment (including yours). These things are garbage but I've put off ripping it out only because I have a Corsa/headers "sound system"
