Default Update on my 86 Pace Car Restore

Some of you might remember, I am restoring an 86 Pace Car convertible. With the crazy heat this summer, it's been tough to get out in the garage and get things done.

If you haven't seen my original thread, check it out before you go any further.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-g...o-restore.html

The interior is done!!!

After

New canvas convertible top installed, too.

After

All that's left to do, is fix the front bumper and it's going up for sale.

I bought the car with the intention of fixing it up and selling it. Trying to make a little profit so I can do it, over and over.

Gotta admit you have vision. What looked like a disaster you turned into a really nice looking vett. What did you do to the paint that was not repainted, buff with orbital buffer?

Looks fantastic! Great work. What a difference some new leather and carpet make, huh.

I'm also a big fan of black cars with red interior. It's not so common anymore as it once was.

Lookin pretty nice Johnny!!

C4s are tough to restore and still make a profit. The car has to be a good balance between what it needs and what you hafta pay for it initially. Even then you pretty much have to do all the work because the restoration suppliers need to be cattle prodded over their prices.

Keep the pics rolling!

far better than seeing the car rot into the ground! and someone else will be able to finish the car and enjoy it as it once was enjoyed!

This one was a bigger challenge than I thought it was going to be.
I'm on vacation starting Monday, so I will finish up the body and paint-work.
If I do another, I'll make sure it only requires "minor" repairs.
