hi all, I recently purchased my first corvette, a 94 that's a little rough. I recently replaced the battery and it worked fine. I took it back out for a short time but kept it charged. When I put it back in today I got no power to the vehicle. I know the battery is good, visibly checked all connections and fuses That i could. I would appreciate any ideas. Thanks
A few obvious suggestions:
1) Check the voltage in the battery (with a volt meter)
2) Make sure that the battery terminals are clean and tight
3) Check your negative cable for any internal breaks, as well as where it's grounded
4) Check the small additional wires that attach to the positive terminal (these supply power to the electrical features in the car)
5) Check main fuses under the hood (near the battery)
Some of the checks above require the use of a volt/ohm meter. You can pick up an inexpensive one just about anywhere they sell hardware or auto parts (Harbor Freight or O'Reilly's, e.g.).
