Default alarm/keyless entry system on 92

When I bought my 92 base model back in the early 2000's, I was given a set of keys and an alarm fob. The alarm fob was aftermarket. I have been under the dash and have found the alarm unit. It appears to be sliced in like any other aftermarket alarm system.
My problem is that the alarm system gets out of sync with the automatic door locks and causes me to trip the alarm after opening the doors with the fob. I really don't care to have the alarm system and would rather revert it back to stock. I am assuming there was originally a factory fob but is long gone.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
I see that Bulldog offers a Keyless Entry System and FOB Kit # KE1702. Maybe that is the way to go. Suggestions?

There was no factory FOB on a '92
The factory PKE system came out for the '93

Well, that explains a lot.. Thanks for the info. I guess I can remove the crappy alarm and use the key to open the door.

There is a factory alarm system, which may still be active on your car (kind of sounds like it). Just no fob.

Does the factory alarm just disable the car or what does it do?

It's just an alarm. I think 92s also had an anti-theft system called VATS or PASSKEY, look in yuor owners manual.
