Default 1988 Corvette Challenge Car #98 PICS!!

Picked it up last night. Needs detailed and correct decals added but it's solid and all there. What a neat piece of GM/Corvette Racing history. This will be fun!

This car was one of two #98's that Stu Hayner piloted in 1988. It was the first #98 of the two raced. This one started it all!

Former race glory graphics. This is what the car looked like when raced for the Championship. Stu Hayner competed and WON the 1988 SCCA Corvette Challenge Championship. The car will look very much like this when I'm done.

Hi Paul. Still have the KOH Prototype. Finishing it this Spring. It runs now. Just need to install the brakes and interior.

The 74 454 conv is a customer's car. Just finished it and taking it to Kissimmee/Mecum this weekend. It came out beautiful.

I can see one or two things that you'll need to change if you want it period correct, Brett.

Those Grand Sport front calipers and the drilled rotors were not original to the '88 Challenge cars.

But...cool piece of Corvette Racing history to have in your collection for sure!

Awesome.

I'm glad to see this piece of Corvette history go to someone who understands it and can restore it to its former glory.

Thanks for sharing the pics Brother Brett! I'm sure there aren't many Corvette Challenge cars floating around. Enjoy!

Thanks HP!

Brakes were standard issue. May have been 13". I can't remember for sure.

Great buy! Looking forward to seeing it restored to it's day's of glory. Is that the original hi-po motor that GM made special for these cars?

Hey Brett! I think I need to make a little road trip to your neck of the woods and see some of the collection!

Are you going to Indy again this year for a drive around the track?

Hi there. Not sure if I'll do the 500 track this year. The temps just got too high for me. Not worth heating my ZR-1 just to do the track. I've done i t a number of times already.

Let me know when you want to come to Pendleton.
