I stopped off at Lucky's to return a Redbox rental and as I pulled into the lot I saw a gleaming Quasar Blue Metallic C4 in awesome shape. I was able to pull in head to head with it. As I started talking to the guy I noticed a few oddities - CHMSL, then saw the key in the center console and realized this is a ZR-1.

Turns out Mike is the brand new owner of this 41K mile example. It's in stunningly good shape. We talked about 10 minutes and I directed him to the forum - hopefully he joins up.

Nice looking Z. There is always room here for another Corvette enthusiast.

Nice ZR-1 badge on the back. Ruined the surprise for me.

Same here...was expecting a stealthy looking Z, not a stock one with the emblem on the rear bumper.

that's pretty awesome! last summer i was toying with another Vette through town and followed him into a gas station. we started talking and it turns out his car was a stealthy black ZR1! and i thought it was an L98, lol. i wondered why it sounded so good, lol. anyways we talked Corvettes for some time and parted ways. a local paramedic recognized me and took this pic and sent it to me, lol.
